Description:
The BASE (Biodiesel, Algae, Soya, Ethanol) Africa project encompasses a major project roll out for establishing the supply chain and base production of “bio” products initially in the South African market incorporating:
• bio diesel production plants
• ethanol production plants
• innovative algae production
• sorghum and soya bean farming

Lynx Management Services has been appointed as the project leader and Lynx will also become a major stakeholder in the overall business structure to manage the project and the ongoing production cycle of the different products involved.

As the project leader, Lynx has established the business model which incorporates:

• Research and development – in partnership with the universities
• Farming Co-operatives – in partnership with local farmers
• Construction and Civil Engineers – in partnership with plant engineers and production companies
• Biodiesel Production Plant – in partnership with Free State Projects Co-operative
• Logistics
• Security and Maintenance
• Human resources
• Finance
• Accounting
• Administration

The BASE Africa model has been developed to enable further roll out projects in other African countries.
