Description:
ERID LLC. is a service company that provides Personal Health Records via the internet. This segment of the health information technology has been around for several years, but very little has been done about bringing it to the forefront of the public. Research has shown that 78% of the public are very interested in having a Personal Health Record, but do not know how or where to obtain this item. Having a Personal Health Record addresses a major concern of the public, currently 63% are somewhat or not very confident that the healthcare professional has a complete picture of their health. Currently only 2.7% of people have an electronic health record available on the internet. Attitudes towards Personal Health Records vary slightly; the majorities of people understand and believe that the benefits are most favorable to having a Personal Health Record.

The ERID LLC will market its service to individual and companies through several different channels. ERID LLC will bring this service to the retail market, self-insured companies, health insurance underwriters, benefit administrators and the online consumer. The retail market will focus on Pharmacy, Big Box Companies, Discount Centers and Grocery Stores across the United States. We will provide a Point of Purchase promotion that will direct customer to the web site for completion of the service.
While the majority of employers with 100 or more employees have at least some element of self-insurance incorporated into their health care programs, our product can offer a documented savings. Utilizing underwriters, benefit administrators and direct contact to these companies we will aggressively infiltrate this market segment. The latest reports have shown that a Return On Investment (ROI) for companies that incorporate a Personal Health Record have been as large as 8:1, based on per member per month reduction in claims paid.

Personal Health Records have not been marketed at the retail level on a national scale. Currently it has only been done on local and regional areas through the internet. There has been no attempt to market this service through retail channels. Our recent discussions with sales representatives and retail pharmacy executives have been most favorable to the success of this product being represented at the retail level.

Large corporations have started to offer Personal Health Records to employees the actual results have not been published, but have been sited to be very substantial, IBM has indicated that its cost per member per plan is well below the national average due in large part to Personal Health Records.
